The Horned Prince Toad is a modern fairy tale. It
includes magical characters and events which take place in the present. Reba Jo
makes a promise to a horned toad that saves her at the riverbed. Once she´s

Lewis and Clark and Me

On Monday, August 25th the students will start a new
story, Lewis and Clark and Me, by Laurie Myers. This story is historical
fantasy; it combines historic events that really happened and fantastic ones
that could not possibly happen. The narrator is a dog, “Me”. It hears, feels,
and knows what is going on at the pier where it was sold and joins Lewis and
Clark on an expedition.
